With delicious avocado toast, locally roasted coffee, and $4 mimosas there's always a reason to visit this Aussie-inspired coffee shop-meets-restaurant-meets-wine-bar! There's also a great outdoor patio that makes for the perfect spot to enjoy the Texas sunshine when it's warm out!

One of the times we forwent Ascension's signature avocado toast to try some other dishes, we dove into the mushroom toast instead! Along with it, we tried the french toast brulee and the shrimp and ancient grain bowl, all on the Spring brunch menu. We also added in the pastrami hash from the normal menu and made sure to pair it with a latte and a $7 bloody mary. Everything was delicious, and we love that Ascension offers an elevated take on brunch. If you’re looking to get extra boozy, go with $12 mimosa carafes!

THE SOUND LOCATION

While you can score the brunch menu at any location, this stunning Ascension is a very worth-while 20 minute drive from central Dallas. Not only is there a beautiful community mural by artist, Alli Koch, which is decorated by a long row of boho wicker lights, but this Ascension location also has a back patio overlooks the lake!

FOOD AND DRINKS

Whether you're looking for breakfast, lunch, or something in between, you're bound to find something to satisfy you at any location! This café restaurant offers baked goods, craft sandwiches, salads, bowls, breakfast sandwiches on housemade bagels or croissants, and additional breakfast foods. Pair your bites with either a glass of wine, a brunch cocktail, or a cuppa joe from their extensive coffee menu! Love the brew you get? You can buy the beans and make it at home!

Plus happy hour is Sunday-Thursday after 3 PM, when you can enjoy half off wine bottles!

Activities

Take in the views, play bocce ball or corn hole, and enjoy live music on Friday evenings, when Ascension stays open until 9 PM! Or if you're looking for a space to work, the weekday coffee shop vibes make for the perfect spot to grab a cold brew and take in the view while you get your work done! Work hard play hard, right?

P.S. You can also visit Ascension at The Crescent, in Addison, at the Star in Frisco or in Fort Worth!
