Serious hidden gem alert, for vegans and non-vegans like! Goji Cafe is a decades old plant-based fast casual restaurant serving Asian-inspired fare! P.S. The prices are low, but the portions are generous, so be ready to take home leftovers and enjoy all the Goji goodness the next day!
Updated March 2022
Goji Cafe originally opened in 2007 as an Asian buffet, offering 20+ vegan food items. Since COVID, they have closed the buffet and have expanded their menu, now preparing and serving their dishes to order! The space is casual and nothing flashy, but the food speaks for itself, so head in and grab a table and enjoy!
MENU
Goji offers light and healthy alternatives to classic Asian cuisine, they offer some American options as well! Their menu highlights an array of classic rice and soup-based dishes but with healthy and hearty twists, accommodating plant-based diets equally enjoyable to vegans and meat lovers alike (because you can't tell it's not “real").
We highly recommend the $4 Zucchini Pho to start. It is gluten-free and made up of fresh zucchini noodles and homemade veggie broth. Their Pad Thai and spicy Kung Pow Chow Mein are much lighter and fresher than the traditional dishes as they include protein alternatives like tofu, soy nuggets, and vegan shrimp!
If you’re less adventurous, they also offer a Western Special menu with vegan takes on American classics like a vegan BLT, spicy Phish tacos, a Beyond burger and more!
