Atlanta-based concept Read Shop marks its second location in the U.S. right here in Dallas and it’s a much-needed spot in the Knox/Henderson neighborhood!

READ SHOP
Founded in Atlanta in 2016, Read Shop combines the love for books with a cozy coffee shop, two of our fav things! Founder Dan Collier, also known for Archer Paper Goods and Proper Wax Candle Shop in Deep Ellum, brings Read Shop to Dallas after the devastating closure of The Merchant in Lower Greenville in 2022.
Their unique approach of integrating a coffee shop within a bookstore has proven to drive book sales and create a vibrant community space, which we’re excited to see!
THE SPACE
This two-story bookstore-meets-coffee shop offers curated books with a focus on non-fiction genres including cookbooks, home decor, and art books, and they even highlight the week’s top 10 fiction and non-fiction bestsellers! You can also find a variety of gifts, including cute mugs, cocktail accessories, kitchen utensils, and more!
The store also features a dedicated kids section upstairs with children’s books and toys!
COFFEE + BITES
Want a drink in hand as you shop or to sip and read? Find espresso-based drinks made with beans from Portland’s renowned Stumptown Coffee, pastries from La Casita Bake Shop, and there’s talk of Taco Deli tacos in the near future! 👀
