One of the best places in Dallas to watch games while playing games! Bowlounge is a great retro dive bar in the Design District offering several bowling lanes, pool, foosball, ping pong, soon hole and more, AND it’s the only place in the area that plays every football game. That makes it the best Design District neighborhood sports bar, and you can get in on the fun yourself while watching!

CHRISTIE'S SPORTS BAR
Located on Upper Greenville Avenue, Christies Sports Bar is go-to spot to watch a multitude of games at every angle. Their new location opened in 2021, spanning three floors with 60 TV’s and a rooftop. They also have great drink specials on game days, and have hosted after parties at our famous Dallasites101 bar crawls.

FRANKIE'S DOWNTOWN
Good ole Frankies, how can we not add them to this list! Frankies is your typical neighborhood sports bar located in Downtown Dallas. It is exactly what you think of when you think of a sports bar, from the masculine vibes to the fried food and beer/well selection, and to ALL the TVs! And fun fact, they also have an underground bar to resemble underground pop up bars from the prohibition era!

HAPPIEST HOUR
Happiest Hour brought sports bar watching to a whole new level when it first opened several years ago. With what feels like a hundred TVs (really 60+) scattered between its multiple spaces, both inside and outside, up and down, this place is a go-to for American Airlines game pre-gaming or watching! Go before any Stars game and you’ll only see green.

Hero has quite literally been every girl’s hero by redefining the classic sports bar into something that’s beautiful and clean, and that boasts healthy fare and craft cocktails! This HG Sply Co sister restaurant is conveniently located beside American Airlines Center. Plus, the bar is MASSIVE - with screens everywhere, private rooms to rent out for game day watching and that same fresh food you can expect at HG Sply!

This 10,000-square-foot sports lounge has tons of TVs to watch the game and plenty of space to roam! It's a great spot for groups, serving unique large-format cocktails to share with friends, bottle service on the weekends, and a full food menu for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Katy Trail Icehouse: the Dallas institution where the beer is always cold and your dog is always welcome! Located right in the heart of Uptown, this was the first bar we were ever told to go to! Their patio is a classic go-to for any occasion, but be sure to arrive early on a big game day. It fills up fast and this bar is so popular that they sometimes have a line. Rest assured, it's well worth the wait!

LAWNIE'S
For a casual day on the patio watching sports, head to the newly-opened Lawnie's on bustling Henderson Ave! Grab a seat in the giant lime green lawn chair, a big booth, or a stadium-style high top to enjoy a few cold ones. There are multiple TVs spread all around the patio, so you won't miss any of the action!

LIFE'S GOOD BAR & GRILL
Here, life's good no matter the score! This pet-friendly neighborhood hangout features two patios, colorful lights, and plenty of TVs. While you watch, play games like pool, giant Jenga, darts & cornhole. The menu offers craft beers and cocktails paired with classic pub fare like burgers and wings. Try the unique options like fried chicken or six different hot dogs! This eclectic bar is covered in graffiti, and we mean covered! Catch a game here and spend the commercial breaks admiring the floor to ceiling graffiti, all done by a local Dallas artist. The space has plenty of entertainment, including 30+ TVs, pool tables, foosball, darts, shuffleboard, arcade games, and more. Their menu is full of classic sports bar eats, and tons of beers on tap, perfect for the divey atmosphere!

MAYER'S GARDEN
For an elevated sports bar experience, meet at Mayer's! This garden meets industrial space features ample patio seating, a big screen, tons of TVs, and amazing food and drinks. Our favorite eats are the Loaded Tots, Chicken or Portobello Nuggies, and the Wednesday Night Pasta Special. To sip, try the Paloma or spicy Turtle Bite shots -- especially great on all-day happy hour every Monday! Fun fact, this spot is actually the revival of a 140-year-old Dallas beer garden!

MILO BUTTERFINGERS
This long-standing bar and grill has been taking care of Dallas sports fans for over 50 years! Milos gives you a no-frills, dive bar atmosphere with low ceilings, cozy booths, and walls decked out with sports memorabilia. Locals and SMU students alike head to Milos to enjoy cold beer and cocktails while shooting some pool, throwing darts, and watching their favorite sports teams on one the many HD TV screens.

The newest sports bar in town, Oregon-based River Pig came to Lower Greenville in early 2023! This bright and airy space is a refreshing take on the classic sports bar. Skellig, located off Henderson is definitely one of our go-to bars in general, and also a great place to catch a game too! They have a really awesome draft list, and they change it up weekly, and they just opened their new outdoor beer garden! Plenty of space for eating, drinking and watching on any game day.

STAN'S BLUE NOTE
Stan's Blue Note is a quintessential Dallas sports bar! While it used to be known as quite the dive, it went through a revamp in the last few years, boasting a new interior and an array of daily specials. They're also known for their food, we love their fried pickles, and half pound burgers...but Aunt Sue's Spaghetti and Meatballs is the star of the show!

TABOO LOUNGE
For a lively and Instagrammable spot, head to Taboo Lounge! The space is unlike your average sports bar, decked out in colorful decor, neon signs, flower walls, disco lights, and of course, plenty of TVs showing the game. Their menu is just as fun as the decor, featuring classic bar eats like wings and burgers and more upscale dishes like seafood and steak. Order one of their fun themed cocktails which come in unique containers like disco balls, fish bowls, or pouches!

THE NODDING DONKEY
One of our favorite spots to watch any game, especially with good weather, is The Nodding Donkey in the State Thomas neighborhood of Uptown! It’s the perfect set up with a patio that’s connected to the rest of the bar, so you don’t feel too far from the action. Their patio is always lively with cornhole, jenga, and their own tv’s with sound! They also have an extensive food menu with wings, burgers, and Tex Mex, and an impressive drafts and cocktails menu.
