One of the best things about Dallas’s weather is that it allows us to enjoy the outdoors mostly year round, and there’s no better way to soak up some vitamin D than on a rooftop. If that rooftop comes with delicious food, refreshing drinks and good vibes, even better. Get outside and enjoy some of our favorite rooftop bars in Dallas!

Happiest Hour is the biggest patio bar in Dallas by square footage, with its massive outdoor patio that spills onto a lawn, and upstairs bar overlooking Victory Park and the American Airlines Center. Just a short walk away from the action, you can easily drop by for a drink before or after a concert or game. It also knows how to do nightlife and once the sun goes down, the rooftop overflows with people dressed up for a night out.

The atmosphere, unbelievably good nachos and the spot-on Moscow Mules (try them frozen) - HG Sply Co has one of the best rooftops in Dallas, hands down. The space spans the length of the restaurant below, along with Social Mechanics and Gung Ho - aka it’s three times as big upstairs as it is downstairs so you have ample room to sit and enjoy. You can see the whole skyline from afar, and HG has weather-proofed the rooftop with heaters and misters.

Quarter Bar has some of the most character of any Uptown bar with a New Orleans theme and multiple rooms filled with funky, vintage furniture. Head all the way upstairs for a sunny rooftop patio with several tables that overlook McKinney Ave. They also offer happy hour every day of the week, specials like reverse happy hour and a entertainment like karaoke nights.

While there are a myriad of rooftop bars in Dallas with beautiful skyline views, this one comes with a pool, too! At the Canvas Hotel (formerly the NYLO) sits a rooftop bar called The Gallery. Guests can enjoy the infinity pool and non-guests can stare at it and gaze at the skyline behind it while sipping cocktails (and of course, take the perfect Instagram picture).

Combine cajun fare with a roof top bar and you get Dodie’s! It’s a great spot for happy hour because it runs every weekday from 11 am til 7 pm! It’s also a prime location to be sitting during the St. Patrick’s Day Greenville parade, or when the spring rolls around because you can order fresh boiled crawfish any time during the right season!
One of the coolest rooftops on the list, Sky Blossom is super inconspicuous, hiding through a door and up an elevator on Main Street in Downtown Dallas. It’s next to Campisi’s if you can’t find it, but once you do, you’ll be blown away. You’ll feel like you’re standing with the skyscrapers and up in the clouds. Your views are some of the best in the city.

One of our favorite spots for happy hour or for meeting up before a concert, the Sundown at the Granada has a great rooftop overlooking Greenville Ave. It’s really nice and shaded, with a wood cover, and it’s usually relatively quiet. It’s a lesser known or frequented rooftop bar so if you want a guaranteed table, check out Sundown!

Upside West Village quickly became one of the hottest new hangouts in Dallas when it opened in 2018, located on the top floor of the Canopy by Hilton hotel. It offers unparalleled views of the Dallas skyline and great craft cocktails and snacks all day and night-long! Also, bonus: in the winter, there’s a fireplace and blankets.

When the Statler underwent renovations and reopened in 2017 to the public, it brought with it a rooftop bar and pool aka Waterproof. It stands surrounded by the Downtown Dallas skyscrapers making you feel like you’re in New York. It attracts a fancy and young see-to-be-seen crowd and if you don’t get there early enough in the night, you can be waiting for a long time to get up to the 19th floor.

The rooftop offers comfortable seating in large, cute booths and high-top bar tables and if the weather isn’t great, there’s also intimate indoor seating!

Known as a hidden treasure, Terilli’s is the most lovely family-owned spot on Middle Greenville. Although it’s pretty fancy inside with white tablecloths and dim lighting, the rooftop feels like you’re on a little patio in Italy! The string lights hung across the patio, greenery up on the walls, and cozy little fire pits, make it a perfect place for a moonlit dinner and espresso martini. They also have a few tv’s which make it a little more fun and casual!

The food and drinks are perfect for a girl's night or date night with their beloved bellini, shaved ribeye sandwhich, and chocolate chip cookies.
