We’ve always been curious about the red (now white) brick building that has sat on McKinney Avenue for more than 30 years. We recently stopped in and were blown away by the service, atmosphere, and fabulous Italian cuisine at Avanti!

AVANTI

Avanti might not be new to you at all, but if it is, it’s a storied spot for delicious Italian food that sits quietly on the corner of Worthington and McKinney in the heart of uptown, and it’s definitely worth a visit. They serve up traditional fare in a casual fine dining room. It's a tranquil oasis that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the neighborhood.

THE SPACE & ATMOSPHERE

During COVID, they refreshed the space and painted the infamous red brick white. It’s so cute and Instagrammable! We were immediately drawn to the patio with string lights and the classic blue and white bistro chairs. It is the most perfect al fresco dining experience! They also have live music every night, and their acoustic tunes are so lovely.

THE MENU

Avanti serves traditional Italian dishes with Mediterranean flare. We highly recommend the avanti garlic loaf to start. It's the most delicious bread! For dinner, enjoy and glass of red wine with homemade pastas, steaks, seafood, and even lamb chops. Everything was seriously amazing and the service was great. Of course we had to try their Aperol Spritz, but they’re actually known for their wine list, which won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.

SPECIALS & MORE

Dine on Wednesday nights for a special date night menu featuring 3-courses and wine for $85 per couple.

They also support the #GenderEqualWineList meaning 50% of their wine list is from women-owned wineries or ran by women leaders.
